The Walking Dead, they roam the land, a constant threat, no safe haven at hand ... poem by Stefano Donno

In a world where the dead arise,

And survival is the only prize,

The Walking Dead, they roam the land,

A constant threat, no safe haven at hand.

The survivors band together,

Against the undead's relentless endeavor,

They fight to keep their loved ones alive,

Against all odds, they strive and strive.

Their journey is one of pain and loss,

A never-ending cycle of chaos and exhaust,

But in each other, they find the will,

To keep on fighting, to push uphill.

And though the world may be unkind,

And death may always be close behind,

Their spirits remain unbroken and strong,

As they journey on, moving ever along.

For in this world of death and decay,

Their humanity still finds a way,

To shine through the darkness and the dread,

And remind us all, of what it means to be alive instead.
