Re - animator poem by Stefano Donno

In the depths of the lab, where shadows creep,

A madman tinkers, and monsters sleep.
His name is Herbert West, a brilliant mind,
A scientist, with horrors to find.

With syringes and vials, he plays God,
Reanimating the dead, against all odds.
Fueled by his passion, and reckless ambition,
He brings life to corpses, without inhibition.

But his creations, they're not quite right,
With hunger and madness, they cause a fright.
The dead should stay dead, or so we thought,
But Herbert West's work, is far from naught.

For in his quest, he's found a way,
To cheat death, to keep it at bay.
And though the consequences may be dire,
He continues his experiments, with mad desire.

The reanimated corpses, they roam and roam,
A chilling sight, far from home.
Herbert West, he's lost control,
But the horrors of his work, will never grow old.

For in the world of Re-Animator,
There's no telling what could transpire.
A world of madness, of the undead,
Where Herbert West reigns, with a twisted head.
